Manufacturing The Future - 19 June 2014

The University of Wolverhampton’s Innovative Product Support Service (IPSS) project and Shrewsbury-based company, IngPro Ltd are holding an event aimed at the West Midlands manufacturing business community to discuss the future of manufacturing.

The ‘Manufacturing the Future’ event on Thursday 19 June 2014 at the Telford Innovation Campus will focus on the drivers affecting change within manufacturing and how these will impact on future manufacturing strategies.

Guest speakers include Mike Murray, Head of Airframe Integration at BAE Systems who will be discussing the future opportunities for the aerospace supply chain and Paul Sefton, Director of IngPro Ltd who will be examining the changes within 21st century manufacturing and how these can create future templates for manufacturing strategies.

The event will also offer a range of presentations from cloud computing and big data solutions for manufacturers to the principles of manufacturing by additive processes.  Delegates will also be offered the chance to tour the impressive advanced engineering facilities within the Department of Engineering at the campus.

Delegates will also be able to find out more about the funded business support available through the IPSS project which is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, in areas such as product design, intellectual property and supporting businesses with their innovation.
